Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 February 2026

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Rate ("Application") for iOS mobile devices, created by Hit Space LTD ("we", "us", "our"). The Application provides users with earnings calculations related to working under APA guidelines suggested terms.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and selected crew grade. This information is used to personalise your experience and manage your subscription.

Calculation Data

Your shoot and day calculations are stored locally on your device. If you use cloud features (such as sharing or backup), calculation data is stored on our servers and associated with your account.

Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive transaction records (purchase dates, subscription tier, expiry) but do not receive or store your payment card details.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect analytics data to understand how the Application is used and to fix issues. This includes:

  • Product analytics (PostHog): Screen views, feature usage events, and interaction data to help us understand how features are used and identify issues. PostHog processes this data in the EU.

  • Error tracking (Sentry): Crash reports and error logs to help us identify and fix bugs. These may include device type, OS version, and app state at the time of the error.

  • Firebase Analytics: Aggregated usage statistics and performance data.

We also collect your device type, operating system version, and app version.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

No.

Do third parties see and have access to information obtained by the Application?

We use the following third-party services to operate the Application:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, data storage, analytics

  • RevenueCat — subscription management

  • PostHog (EU region) — product analytics

  • Sentry — error and crash reporting

  • Apple App Store — payment processing

These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements. Only data necessary for each service's function is shared.

We may also disclose information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;

  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

  • if Hit Space LTD is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, in which case we will notify you via a prominent notice on our website.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by deleting your account within the Application and then uninstalling it. You may delete your account from the settings screen within the Application.

Data Retention Policy

We retain account data for as long as you use the Application. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems. Automatically collected analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it may be stored in aggregate form only. If you have any questions about your data, please contact us at nat@rateapp.co.uk.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without consent, they should contact us at nat@rateapp.co.uk. We will delete such information within a reasonable time.

Data Storage and Transfers

Hit Space LTD is a company registered in the United Kingdom. Your data is processed in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK law.

Security

We take reasonable measures to safeguard your information, including limiting access to authorised personnel and using encryption in transit. However, no system can guarantee complete security.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
